Did I actually say it was likely Boston was going to sweep Dwyane Wade and my beloved Miami Heat out of the playoffs? Yes, I’m afraid I actually fell victim to that oh-so-prevalent malady of many disappointed fans, doubt.
I doubted the fortitude of the Miami Heat, and more importantly, I doubted Dwyane Wade.
That is a very, very stupid thing to do; for me, or any of his opponents. Just ask, the 2006 Dallas Mavericks and their fans.
In my defense, I did state I hoped Miami would “come out on fire” today and “prove me wrong” in my belief Boston was likely to close out the series in four games. I did state I hoped they would “make this series a little more respectable by winning a couple of games and showing some fortitude.”
