The Tigers will honor legendary broadcaster, Ernie Harwell on Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
If I could have attended any game during the regular season, this would have been the one.
Harwell will sit in owner Mike Illitch’s suite when the Tigers play the Kansas City Royals.
According to the Detroit Free Press there will be a video shown honoring Harwell and Ernie will show his thanks to the fans for their support over the years.
He will speak to the team prior to the game and no word has been given on whether Harwell will speak to the fans. If he does, expect the tears to flow.
