With their impressive Game Seven win against the Milwaukee Bucks, it's on to the second round for the Atlanta Hawks. Waiting for the Hawks is a well-rested Orlando Magic.
The Magic swept the Charlotte Bobcats in four games and have been resting last Monday. Orlando will host the Hawks for the first game on Tuesday night.

NBA Playoffs: An In-Depth Phoenix vs. San Antonio Breakdown

The semifinal series feature interesting subplots, but three of them lack the qualities to make them spectacular.
The Lakers are already on their way to ousting the injury-riddled Jazz, the Cavs squelched Kevin Garnett's best playoff performance since 2008, and Orlando should feast on Atlanta's soft interior.
Thank the basketball Gods for the Suns vs. the Spurs series.
This should be a six- to seven-game affair featuring bad blood, vengeful crowds and ...
2010 NBA Mock Draft: The Minnesota T’Wolves Will Finally Win Something
Posted: 3rd May 2010 by David Spohn in NBA
In 1990 the NBA instituted a weighted lottery system that is still utilized to this day. With this system in place, only three times has the team with the league's worst record actually won the draft lottery (New Jersey Nets in 1990, Cleveland in 2003 & Orlando in 2004).
After the Kevin McHale era, Latrell Sprewell 'not being able to feed his family', the Kevin Garnett trade, and the Ricky ...
Watching the postseason, I just hope that we might be able to see the Warriors there again in the new future. I get antsy hoping and thinking about how it might occur and wanted to put my thoughts down.
The Lottery and Draft offer rays of hope to downtrodden teams like the Warriors. Could we get the equivalent of a Rose, Roy, or Duncan that immediately transforms the franchise? Could ...
Thursday night 11:14 PM EST I am watching my Portland Trailblazers commit foul after foul, miss rebound after rebound and turn the ball over seemingly every chance they get, and it hit me.
I have seen this team play before, no I am not speaking of the every other national television appearance the Blazers made during the year, no this Portland team plays like the 2009 Miami Dolphins.Begin Slideshow
2010 NBA Mock Draft: Will This Be A Historic Draft For The KU Wildcats?
Posted: 3rd May 2010 by Beckley Mason in NBA
It's nothing new for two players from the same school to be taken in the top 5 of the NBA draft. In fact, it's happened five times in the last 8 years.
Far more rare is four players from the same school being drafted in the first fourteen picks; that's happened just twice in the last twenty five years (Duke 1999, UNC 2005).
But never has one school lost four top twelve ...
It’s NBA Championship or Bust for the Cleveland Cavaliers
Posted: 3rd May 2010 by Aaron Green in NBA
No more excuses.
This is the year.
It has to be.
The city of Cleveland’s title drought will finally come to an end when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers bring home an NBA Championship this season.
In his previous six seasons, James has not been on a more complete team than this year’s Cavaliers squad. They have everything they need to bring a title to Cleveland:
* They have LeBron ...
Timber-Wolf: Getting The Top Three Picks For The Minnesota Timberwolves
Posted: 2nd May 2010 by Matthew Hayden in NBA
Ha ha, this is merely for fun, seeing that there's hardly any news going around the world about the Minnesota Timberwolves, but I'd like to point out that this scenario is possible if other teams cooperate.
The 2010 NBA draft features a much deeper draft than the last years, featuring a plethora of big men, great wing players, and one soon to be elite point guard in the NBA, John Wall.
Currently, ...
After watching yet another early playoff exit for Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd, a question came to mind: Will two of the NBA's greatest players fall victim to the exclusive no-ring club?
It's hard to imagine that these two will not achieve NBA immortality by capturing the only award that matters to an NBA player when their career is over, but it has happened to many of the greats that proceeded ...
Lebron James won his second consecutive MVP Award, and there really was no doubt that he was going to win. Although Kevin Durant made a push for the award, overtaking James for the scoring title, there's a few reasons why James came out on top and Durant did not.
James is a superior athlete to Durant, especially if you consider that both play the same position. James has at least 20 ...
