The Minnesota Twins announce that Joe Mauer has signed an eight-year, $184 million contract. The deal includes a full no-trade clause.
The deal will be made official at a 7:00 pm EST press conference in the Twins’ Conference Center.

Mississippi's Mr. Football, Dylan Favre, nephew of Brett Favre, has accepted an offer to play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He also received scholarship offers from Southern Miss, Tulane, and Northwestern State. His uncle Brett played for Southern Miss.

Suddenly Favre doesnÆt look so bad. In the third quarter, Eli Manning has his New York Giants down 34-3. The same Carolina Panthers that just spanked the Vikings 26-7 are taking it to another level against the Giants.
Green Bay is grinding out the clock, with a dominating ground game and a couple of big plays. The Packers are up 31-3.
