Well Redskin fans, it appears Santa Claus has delivered us an early gift.á Vinny Cerrato is no more. Last week, I complained and ranted that it looked as if he'd be back next season since he was out scouting the likes of Jimmy Clausen.á Apparently, he was just helping out, I guess, since it appears that his leaving is by his choice. But is it really? Sure, he announced it this morning on his radio program, but as the Redskins began the season 2-6, everyone was reporting that he'd be fired at the end of the season along with lame-duck coach Jim Zorn. I think Vinny, being owner Dan Snyder's good buddy, Dan allowed him to resign instead of firing him.á This way Vinny could save a little face.
