2010 NHL Playoffs: Jimmy Howard, Red Wings Netminder, Tends Goal Bare-Faced
Posted: 21st April 2010 by Greg Eno in NHL
If they came out with a Comeback Player of the Series Award, Jimmy Howard would win it—hands down.
Or, should I say, mask down.
Howard, the Red Wings’ rookie goalie (in title only), has added to his burgeoning legend.
It was vintage Chris Osgood: follow up a stinker by coming out smelling like a rose.
Howard rebounded from a rocky Game Three, and was impenetrable in ...
Canadiens-Capitals: Changes Abound, but Can Montreal Beat Washington?
Posted: 21st April 2010 by Kamal Panesar in NHL
So far this morning—and according to Pat Hickey from the Montreal Gazette —the Habs are making several changes to their lineup as follows:
1. Carey Price will be in the net.
2. Ryan O'Byrne will be back on D.
3. Marc-Andre Bergeron will be on the fourth line and power play.
4. Mathieu Darche seems like he will be the one giving him place up to MAB.
Personally, I think all four of these things ...

ESPN's Adam Shefter reported at 11:35 this morning that the Steelers are actively talking to teams about trying to get a top 10 pick for Roethlisberger after the news of his suspension being at least four games, and possibly as much as six, depending on his behavior.
With four quarterbacks currently on the roster, including the addition of Byron Leftwich from Tampa, it's entirely feasible that the team will wind ...

2010 NFL Draft: Denver Broncos Must Pounce on Maurkice Pouncey
Posted: 21st April 2010 by Scott Wilson in NFL
The Broncos top brass certainly have many factors to weigh in the hours leading up to the 2010 NFL draft. Juggling their draft board, position needs, player values, and an uncertain NFL landscape can be enough to boggle the mind and create indecision.
But make no mistake about it, the Broncos have very specific goals that need to be achieved from Thursday through Saturday.
At the top of that list is to obtain ...
Well..this year's schedule looks interesting. This is one of the more difficult schedules that the Patriots have seen, and there is the opportunity for amazing games to be played throughout the season.
The Patriots will play home games against Cincinnati, Buffalo, Baltimore, Minnesota, Indianapolis, NY Jets, Green Bay, and Miami.
Their away games will include: NY Jets, Miami, San Diego, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, and Buffalo.
Some notes about the schedule:

The Jags were unexpectedly feisty in 2009, despite rampant inconsistency.
For example, a week after thrashing the Titans by 20, they were absolutely crushed by a mediocre Seahawks team 41-0.
This continued throughout the season, and the people of Jacksonville weren't exactly impressed.
The Jags sold out just one home game last season, and are going to have to start winning back fan interest if they don't want to have to relocate sometime ...

Hello all! Wow, it has been a while since I've last written, so this may be quite long, because I have a lot to say!
The truth of why I'm writing today is to get my mind off the loss of my dog this morning. She was 10, and she will be deeply missed.
I'm seeking refuge in the New York Yankees, who have gotten off to a great start ...
2010 NFL Schedule: Which Divisions Have the Toughest Road to Dallas?
Posted: 21st April 2010 by Tim Wood in NFL
If I was Vince Young, I wouldn't be looking too happy either after seeing the 2010 NFL schedule.
Based on last year's records, the Titans have the toughest road to the Super Bowl in Dallas this year. In fact, the whole AFC South has a mighty tricky trek.
Some of this is based on how good your division is. Some of it's just the luck of the draw of your out-of-division ...
