Two games into this series, and we've seen quite a bit from each team. The question is, which ones will show up tonight? Back in Rip City the Blazers plan on getting another win, but that Suns team that showed up on Tuesday was awfully good.
Andre Miller is the only guy right now who is looking for his own shot and being aggressive. Unfortunately in game 2, the Suns adjusted ...
Aaron Brooks’ Award-Winning Improvement a Good Start For Fairish Rockets
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Robert Kleeman in NBA
The Houston Rockets' season seems like a distant memory, a legend passed between a few souls via second-hand storytelling.
This city has a pro basketball team?
A man whispers: Shhhh. The secret might get out.
You wouldn’t know it these days, not with talk of the last-place Houston Astros and the NFL Draft dominating the airwaves and the Houston Chronicle’s front page real estate.
To see whom the playoff-less Texans might pick in each ...
Another Prust Video and Aaron Voros’ Own Top Fights
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Broadway Hockey Daily in NHL
In an earlier post I highlighted Brandon Prust and some of the recognition that he has gotten from some of his tough guy antics, but both videos I posted were of fights while he was with the Calgary Flames. So I thought I’d post a couple of fights from his Ranger days since we are a Rangers site.
Also, Aaron Voros landed in HockeyFights.com ’s top fights of the ...
Del Zotto Ranked Seventh in Hockey’s Future Calder Poll
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Broadway Hockey Daily in NHL
A year ago, everyone thought Bobby Sanguinetti was the Rangers’ top defensive prospect, but as it turns out, the 19-year-old Michael Del Zotto leap-frogged him onto the roster and put together one impressive season. Not impressive enough to win the Calder Trophy given to the best rookie, but he did finish seventh in a recent Hockey’s Future poll:
7. Michael Del Zotto, D—New York Rangers 6′1", 195 lbs. ...
New York Rangers’ Brandon Prust Getting Some Recognition
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Broadway Hockey Daily in NHL
It still amazes me that Brandon Prust turned out to be a bigger contributor to the Rangers over Olli Jokinen, who came over in the same mid-season trade. Even though it was simply a salary dump to get rid of Ales Kotalik, the Rangers have gotten themselves a piece that is expected to contribute to the team’s future.
Fox Sports is recognizing Prust as one of the biggest “Tough Guys” this ...

Well He Shouldn’t Have Been Wearing a Montreal Canadiens Jersey
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Broadway Hockey Daily in NHL
Here is a video I just had to pass on to our readers. It’s Alexander Ovechkin purposefully snowing a kid. You have to check it out, it’s one of those videos that will either make you hate or love him more. I just think it’s funny, why pick on this kid? Because he shouldn’t have been wearing a Canadiens jersey? I wonder if the NHL will fine him for this.

Chicago Blackhawks’ Brain Campbell a Game Time Decision for Game Four
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Michael Wagner in NHL
After the Chicago Blackhawks morning skate, the Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville announced that defenseman Brian Campbell will be a game time decision for game four against the Nashville Predators
Campbell has been out of the lineup since March 14th when he was viciously put into the end boards by Washington's Alexander Ovechkin.
During the regular season Campbell had an average season scoring 38 points in 62 games and a plus-minus rating of ...
Toronto Maple Leafs Look Ahead: Mike Komisarek Looks to Build off Tough Season
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Jon Neely in NHL
It certainly wasn't the kind of first season in Toronto that defenseman Mike Komisarek was hoping for.
After signing with the Maple Leafs in the off-season, leaving the rival Montreal Canadiens, he was expected to bring in the toughness, tenacity and experience that the team was in need of on the blue line.
Starting the first game of the season against his former team, Komisarek was paired up with Tomas Kaberle and ...
Canadiens-Capitals: Montreal Blows Lead Again in 6-3 Loss To Washington
Posted: 22nd April 2010 by Kamal Panesar in NHL
Where to begin?
Should I start by talking about how the Canadiens once again let a lead evaporate?
Should I discuss the fact that in losing 6-3 to the Capitals, the Canadiens now have their back against the wall going into Friday's Game Five, in Washington?
Perhaps I should start by talking about how the Habs once again completely dominated the Caps for 40 minutes, but failed to capitalize on their chances only ...
