With the 46th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected East Carolina defensive tackle Linval Joseph.
The Giants entered this year's draft knowing one of their top priorities was to improve the defensive line. After spending their first-round pick on defensive end Jason-Pierre Paul, New York adds another player who has great speed for his size and knows how to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
Last season, the Giants lost ...
2010 NBA Playoffs: Kobe Bryant Crisis Costs Lakers Game Three in OKC
Posted: 23rd April 2010 by Adrian Vicente in NBA
Judging by the number of shots Kobe Bryant fired Thursday night, one has to wonder if he knows if OKC stands for Oklahoma City and not OK Corral.
Bryant took 29 shots, including 11 three-point attempts, in what resulted in a 101-96 Lakers loss to the Thunder. His attempts from downtown were just one short of matching Pau Gasol, who at 12 shots, put up the second-most attempts on the team.

In examining Game Five of this series, there were some things that the Sharks had been lacking that came together, including success for some of the Sharks stars: Dany Heatley awoke with two assists and a plus-one rating, while Patrick Marleau scored the first goal for the Big Three and was also plus-one.
And then there was Joe Thornton. He had no points and was even in a game the team ...

With the 21st pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Oklahoma tight end Jermaine Gresham to provide another target for Carson Palmer. The Bengals knew one of their top priorities this offseason was finding a solution to improve last year's 26th-ranked passing game that averaged just 180.6 yards per game. Buccaneers Puzzle, Then Please, with Help For Freeman
Posted: 23rd April 2010 by Tom Edrington in NFL
Could you hear the collective groans when the Buccaneers claimed another defensive lineman, UCLA's Bryan Price, with the third pick in the second round of the NFL draft?
Had to confuse everyone when the Buccaneers picked the 6'1", 303-pound tackle who played the same position as top pick Gerald McCoy.
Two players for the three-technique?
"You gotta help your QB out!" exclaimed ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. "Their wide receivers are woeful," ...
T.J. Ward is the Browns new safety, not Taylor Mays.
Colt McCoy wasn’t the Browns' second-round pick, either.
In what can only be described as a “Huh?!?!?” move, the Browns front office team of Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert chose Ward over higher-rated prospects, including the safety position.
Ward is 5’11”, 211 pounds, and is viewed by some draft scouts as being highly athletic but lacking in “elite” speed, and projects better for ...
Nate Allen the Newest Philadelphia Eagle: 2010 NFL Draft Results

With the fifth pick in the second round—No. 37 overall, or as you may know it, the “Donovan McNabb pick”—South Florida safety Nate Allen is the newest Philadelphia Eagle.
Allen, a 6’1”, 207 pound free safety, is certainly one hell of an athlete. He was recruited as a quarterback, and his father, Jackie, was star basketball player in Europe.
His Combine numbers were fairly spectacular as well. Allen ran a 4.52 40, ...
The 2010 NFL Draft was filled with surprising picks, and first-round prospects like Jimmy Clausen, Taylor Mays, and Golden Tate weren't selected in the first round.
