Lets see if I this analogy works.
Ever heard of the guy who meets this great girl? This girl is loving, but guarded.á She has this huge wall built from past relationships.áAlthough, the guy knows she loves him and wants to be there for him, he also knows she is scared he will hurt her like the men before him.
Well, the Detroit Lions are that guy.
The fans, on the other hand ...
The best players in camp this year have been Stalberg, Rosehill, Macdonald, Bozak, Kadri and Hanson; all of them rookies and according to the Star, none will have earned a regular spot on the Leafs roster so far.
A couple of them are penciled in as replacements for injured players-Mayers and Orr. It seems the Leafs are more concerned with not losing games than they are about winning games.
The youthful exuberance ...
Pennant Race Gets to Florida Marlins’ Leo Nunez
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Leslie Monteiro in MLB
The Marlins picked Leo Nunez as their closer in July after trying many guys to fill in for the injured Matt Lindstrom. Nunez is going through a learning curve while he adjusting to his new role.
The Marlins like what Nunez has done this season by solidifying a closer role that was a question mark when the season started. He saved 24 games this season.
However, blown saves define a closer more ...
So I'm thinking I may just start flipping a coin.
I mean, after an 8-8 week (plus missing on the college pick), it can't be any worse, right?
Well, I did hit on both the UPSET SPECIAL and STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK(tm) again, so I'm still perfect, 4-0 on the season there. Maybe I'll save the coin for next week if things don't improve.
As usual, you are an idiot if you ...
Back for another week of college football action. The BCS got rocked last weekend thanks to the USC dropping a game, and the Tennessee Vols taught us that Florida can be rattled. What can be expected in week four? That I don't know but you can believe that once again my picks will be spot on.

The Disrespected: Why The 49ers Shouldn’t Be Overlooked In Minneapolis
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Andy Bensch in NFL
Despite jumping out to a 2-0 start to begin the season, the San Francisco 49ers are still being disrespected. However, a win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday might just be enough to earn themselves a spot amongst the elite teams in the NFC.
Even after beating the defending NFC champion Arizona Cardinals on the road in week one, and dominating the Seahawks in week two, almost every significant NFL analyst ...
Remember names like Chris Burke and Luke Scott?
Morgan Ensberg and Adam Everett?
Why, exactly, did the Houston Astros trade away all their young talent a few years ago?
Nothing against guys like Carlos Lee, Kaz Matsui, or Miguel Tejada, but I miss those young guns that used to electrify and exemplify everything that is good about being a Houston Astro.
This offseason should be interesting; letÆs just hope that Ed Wade and company ...

NFL Week Three Hal-Oscopes: Trust Me, It Might Happen
Posted: 25th September 2009 by John Halligan in NFL
Week Two provided many wonderful and horrific football events to ponder and puzzle over. For instance: when will the Texans' Steve Slaton wake up and realize the regular season has started?
Are the Browns really not going to score an offensive touchdown all year? Are L.T. and Brian Westbrook both finished? And well, well, lookie here. Turns out Eli Manning does have some people to throw to. Week Three will begin to provide ...
According to Jorge Arangure of ESPN, Cuban defector and left handed pitcher Aroldis Chapman has been declared a free agent by major league baseball and is now free to sign with any team in the bigs.
Both the Yankees, Red Sox and others are expected to be interested in the fire balling 21-year-old. That seems to be just speculation so far, but it is not hard to see why. The Yankees ...
